Remember when I told you that a scientific journal will print two of my space-art pictures?
Well, the November issue of Sterne und Weltraum has arrived, and I can't describe what a joy it is, to see my work published :meow:
They asked for two pictures of exo-moons which I then made for them. Both were accepted and bought.
So, I managed to publish something in a scientific journal, yay!
Especially since I'm working on my Bachelor thesis at the moment; I take this as a good omen :)

So, I now have confirmation, that two Spaceart pics I did for a professional scientific astronomy journal got accepted and will be printed in the November issue.
No, the pics are not on dA. Maybe I upload them, after the journal is out.
Besides the fact, that I'm totally proud of it and happy and get a little coin in my pocket, there is one thing, specifically on dA that I just have to point out...
I'm doing realistic spaceart, no flashy, sparkly color-explosion; just the beauty of realistic art. In space.
For it's realism and quality it got accepted by a scientific journal.
My spaceart is regularly declined by deviantArt groups.
Of course,
So. I finally have my topic for my Bachelor thesis
"Mikrofazies-Analyse und chronostratigraphische Einordnung der Kalkeinheiten der Werfener Schuppenzone (im Raum Werfenweng)"
("Microfacies-analysis and chronostratigraphic classification of the limestone units of the Werfen Schuppen Zone (near Werfenweng)")
And I start collecting samples this Thursday! *superexcited* :excited:

So, I was on a field trip for University last Saturday, with a Professor who has a Reputation of being very strict and very black and white in his views.
If you do what he says, he's your best friend. If you don't, he's your worst nightmare.
I for one like him, though I had not much to do with him in the past, but I know who to handle this type of character.
So far I was in the grey zone, I didn't stand out - neither good nor bad.
Well, on that field trip, said Professor told us he wanted a report from each group (á two students) but a drawing (of the outcrop) from everyone.
With fine liner.
I instantly chipped in, if we can also draw i
